EMBRACING THE BEAUTY OF SEA BEANS
(& other cool stuff)
Beans in the wrack..... Hamburger beans, sea purses, & seahearts, called "lucky beans" by many, have long been treasured by beachcombers, surfers, and drifters alike. Generations of families have
shared their stories of collecting them
for countless years. Although there are numerous kinds of drift seeds and SEA BEANS, many of which have traveled thousands of miles down rivers and on to the open seas, the hamburger beans & sea purses (Mucuna & Dioclea spp.) are surely the most colorful, varied and coveted drift seeds. They are all very unique and no two beans are exactly alike. These magnificent beauties which nature has provided, are our favorites............

. . . . . . There was limited information available in any form of media about these beans or seeds until the mid-nineties. It seems that only a select few in the scientifc & botanical communities had any idea what these lucky gems were, where they had came from, or the fact that many were actually alive & may even grow..........
